Custom-Built Brass/Copper Heater Cores It’s been a long time since we have found a high-quality brass/copper heater core. Today, almost all new and aftermarket heater cores are made of aluminum and come in varying degrees of quality. Finding a high-quality brass/copper made is almost impossible. Until now. Geno's Garage now offers a line of American-made, brass/copper heater cores for 1981-2026 Ram trucks. Why Brass/Copper? The heat conductivity of copper is far superior to that of aluminum. Copper is less susceptible to galvanic corrosion than aluminum. Additionally, aluminum heater cores can easily clog, causing them to be more likely to blow under pressure or form a leak. These brass/copper heater cores are made with a copper core of 20 fins per inch and 3/4" elliptical tubes. Also, because swivels and glue can leak, the tubes in these heater cores are soldered in place, then test fitted in an OEM heater housing. Using corrosion inhibiting coolants and maintaining good electrical grounds are still recommended. These high-quality brass/copper heater cores will outlast and outperform their aluminum counterparts and we’re happy to offer them for your truck.
