Have your name tak en off the church roll and tu rn away from the Bible and you will m ake your m ark in th e w orld.” The young lawyer was so impressed th a t he w ent imm ediately and invested almost his la st h alf dollar in a pocket Bible. A q u arte r of a century passed and they m et again. The friend was bleer-eyed and broken in health and asked his honored friend for a h alf dollar to get ou t of town from an extended spree.
