Now th e re was' a wicked king who did no t love Jesus- and th is king told P ete r he m ust not preach abou t Jesu s any more, h u t you know P e te r’s h e a rt was ju st so full of love for Jesu s he could no t hear to keep still when th e re were so many people all around th a t did no t know or love Jesus, and P eter knew th a t if th ey did n o t love JesUs they were lost, and so he k ep t on telling these people about Jésu s and H is love for them . Then th e king p u t P eter in a prison and pu t chains on his hands and soldiers to watch him . P eter h ad a num ber of friends who loved Jesus, b u t w h at could they do to help him for he was in prison? You know these friends loved P éter very much, and love always finds a way to do things to help each other. Now th ey got tog ether and they prayed to Jesus. A fter quite a while they h eard th e k ing was going to ta k e P eter o u t of prison and have him killed. Then th a t n igh t th ey came tog ether again and prayed all n igh t, an d G6d sent an angel dowii to th e prison and b rough t P ete r out, th e chains fell off from his hand s and th e soldiers never woke up, and while P e te r’s friends were praying in th e night, they h eard a knock a t the door, and when they opened th e door th e re stood P eter. You see they loved Jesu s and th a t made them love each other, and when we love each o th er we will help each other. You see when we love Jesus, we are su re to be little sunbeam s fbr H im where ever we go. T h at is w hat Jesu s tells us to do, and th a t is our memory verse. L et us be real sunbeam s for Jesus. Close w ith a verse of th e sunbeam song. Closing P ra y e r: Dear Jesus help us to love Thee and to love each other.
