Girls’ league begins. New Team
GOALS A PLENTY On February 12th, just before the half term break, our girls' football team kicked off their league campaign against St Pauls Academy in Tipton. The girls proudly wore the Abbey kit and stepped out on to the pitch full of excitement. They worked hard and had a great time scoring 2 goals in the process! They were eventually beaten 5-2 by a very good St Paul’s team. Not deterred, the girls are ready and waiting for their next fi xture! Well done girls!

SAFARI FUN This term we have been learning about lots of different jungle animals and this half term we will be learning about dinosaurs! Reception children went on a trip to the Safari Park. They visited the Land of Dinosaurs and were amazed at how big some dinosaurs were. They took part in a safari tour and saw lions, deers, antelopes, zebras, cheetahs, camels and tigers! They loved seeing the different animals. They also visited the reptile house, Ice Age animals, hippo lake, creepy crawlies and the free fl ying bats! The children also found the sea lion show very exciting as they saw the sea lions do lots of great tricks!
