THE

Dodge! Intra-school competition

PLAY TO WIN On Friday 6th March UKS2 competed in another Intra School House Competition. This time the sport was dodgeball. Each class divided into their house teams and took their turn to accumulate as many points as possible for their House. It was a very fast paced and competitive day, with each house playing 6 fi ercely contested games. The children had a fantastic time and enjoyed taking part in the high tempo sport, the theme of the day though was all about our school games values - Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Passion, Self-Belief and Determination. One pupil in Y5 said, "I really enjoyed working with my House Team. It was a really fair game and everyone just did their best.” A pupil in Y6 added, "It's great because we get to do extra PE and it's one of my favourite lessons. It helps us be more active and get fi t & healthy. The competition day felt like a proper game, not like just playing at school, but it felt like a proper competition because we all played fair and respected the rules.” The day culminated with all the houses joining in the hall for the results. On this occasion the winning House was - Moore!

Well done! Thanks to Miss Hinton for the story.
