BLAST FROM THE PAST A trip to the Black Country Living Museum proved to be a great introduction into year 1’s topic - The Victorians. Each class had a super time exploring and comparing modern day toys to those that children would have played with, in Victorian times. Visits into the houses, the sweet shop and the chemist, to name a few, provided the children with a wealth of information and an opportunity to ask and answer history based questions. A trip back in time to what it would have been like in a Victorian school room was both enlightening and entertaining. We think Mrs. Goldie and Miss Rouse will think twice about wearing nail polish to school on our Victorian dress up day in December! Thanks to Mrs Phillips for the story.
