Ingresso nel Labirinto takes visitors on a multisensory journey to discover the visionary inspiration of Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro. Created between 1995 and 2011, this unique environmental installation featuring bronze, fiberglass and copper evokes past worlds and civilisations. Located in the Indro Montanelli Gardens in Porta Venezia, this domed building dedicated to Italian-Swiss publisher Ulrico Hoepli is home to the largest planetarium in the country. Established in 1930, it hosts all manner of events and activities, from star-gazing tours and scientific lectures to musical performances and workshops for children.

Housed in the Sforza Castle , the Civic Museums display a wide range of exhibits, including paintings, objets d’art, sculptures, pottery, musical instruments, books and archaeological collections that shed light on Milan’s history. This historic venue is home to the Museo d’Arte Antica (Museum of Ancient Art), the Biblioteca d’Arte (Art Library) and the Museo Pietà Rondanini , which houses the Pietà , Michelangelo’s last unfinished masterpiece.

Housed in the former stables of a royal villa, this art pavilion was designed by architect Ignazio Gardella to encourage visitors to engage with contemporary art. Hosting an excellent selection of Italian and international exhibitions, PAC aims to dismantle cultural stereotypes and create new forms of expression. Housed in the neoclassical Villa Reale, GAM displays the city’s most comprehensive collection of 19th century art. Spread out over two floors, the gallery has a stunning collection of Italian and foreign paintings spanning from the 14th to the 20th centuries. As well as Oriental art, there are works by major Italian artists and sculptors such as Giorgio Morandi, Francesco Hayez and Giovanni Segantini, as well as paintings by Van Gogh, Matisse and Picasso. The gallery regularly hosts temporary exhibitions.

Dedicated to Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci, this museum is the largest science and technology centre in the country. The museum takes visitors on a journey through the past, present and future of science and technology through a wide range of exhibits.

This former locomotive factory promotes contemporary art, with major solo shows by Italian and international artists. There are three exhibition spaces, and cultural events and educational activities regularly take place.
