To get to know them a bit better, we asked them: If you could do one BIG thing (possible bucket list experience), what would it be and why? Getting to Know Your Austin Conference Team First Time Attendee Co-Director

First Time Attendee Co-Director Jason Lyon, President and COO, Flatbread Company “To finally see my all-time favorite band, U2, live in concert!!“ Hospitality Director Guy Weaver, Channel VP of Sales, National Restaurant Association “To go on an African Safari. It takes my love of the outdoors and combines it with a place that is still so wild.” Registration Co-Director James R. Frank, Area Leader of Training, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers “As a very Proud Marine Veteran, I would like to visit the ‘Birthplace of the United Sates Marine Corps,’ Tun Tavern in Philadelphia. During the American Revolution, a committee of the Continental Congress met at Tun Tavern to draft a resolution calling for two Battalions of Marines able to fight for Independence in the air, on land, and sea. I shamelessly want to take a selfie at the marker where the Tun Tavern building once stood.”

Patrick Yearout, Director of Innovation, Recruiting, and Training, Ivar’s and Kidd Valley Restaurants “To visit the Louvre. I’ve wanted to go there since studying it in French class back in 1982!” Facilities Co-Director Tawny Harrison, Director of Field Training, Del Taco “On a personal level, my one BIG bucket list item would be to visit every Major League Baseball Stadium and see a game with my family. On a larger scale if I could do ANYTHING to make a BIG impact, Volunteer Co-Director J ames Lee, Manager of Multimedia Design, Del Taco “Going to see Big Ben. Squirrel moment...Big Ben is actually the nickname of the Great Bell located in the north clock tower in Palace of Westminster. I've always loved English culture and history.” I would fight and support to end homelessness across the States, providing support, housing, and resources to so many that need it.” Silent Auction Co-Director Alie Gaffan, Senior Vice President of People & Culture, Pacifica Hotels “Brent, Ava, and I dream of visiting the Maldives. Completely disconnected, and close to nature. R&R at it’s finest! If our family could be there with us…even better!”

Silent Auction Co-Director Michele Lange, Director of Learning and Development, Plant Power Fast Food

“A trip to Europe following my favorite bands: U2 in Ireland, The Killers in Spain, Ed Sheeran in London, Foo Fighters in Berlin. You get the idea!”
