The Pond World Tour

the local communities in a big way. “We have tried to give back to the communities where we do business,” Judy explained. “In Vankleek Hill, we donated a pond to St. Jude’s Catholic School where the children use it as an outdoor classroom to study the eco- system. We designed and headed a team of volunteers for the landscaping of the outdoor space at Pleasant Corners Public School. A donation of a pond for a high school in Cornwall was another project we did, and a beautiful water feature was constructed for the patients to enjoy at Hawkesbury General Hospital.” PondWorld is in themidst of rebranding its name to DJ Harvey Pond World, to keep up to date with the future of the company and pave the way for their son, Dustin. “Our new signature brand represents what we do and who we are. The new brand will also help to transition the business to Dustin in the future. His name is Dustin John and Doug and Judy for DJ.” “We certainly are not considering retiring because we never feel like we are working,” said Judy. “We love what we do. It is also very rewarding and satisfying to work in a business that we are passionate about. Our roles might change a little as time goes on and we will certainly work a little less.” The tour was such a great success. The Harveys are considering doing it again next year. With daughter Samantha helping with organization and sonDustin helping out, Doug and Judy think it would be a great way to raise money for another great cause.
The SignatureWater Feature tour by DJ Harvey PondWorld Inc. showcased five water features in properties such as the homes of Stéphane Richer, retired professional ice hockey left- winger for the Montreal Canadians, and senator Jacques Demers, former head coach for the Montreal Canadians. Richer was the only player to score 50 goals for theMontreal Canadians since the days of Guy Lafleur, and Demers is the last coach to bring the team the Stanley Cup. The tour was well received with rave reviews as the company took visitors to some of their most inspiring ponds and waterfalls, all for a good cause. Proceeds from the tour will go toward the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence in Hudson where a waterfall and stream will be built. “It’s for the enjoyment of not only the patients, but employees and visitors as well,” said Julie-Anne Lambert, assistant executive director of financing for the residence. “We are so excited.” Doug and Judy have traveled far and wide installing ponds, streams, and waterfalls, including one in Cobo San Lucas, Mexico for Gerry Nelson, the founder of Ticket Master. “The past 20 years in business has been an incredible experience,” exclaimed Judy. “We have traveled the globe and installedmany water features for wonderful and fascinating people.” The St-Eugène business has given back to
