Having fully trained payroll administrators is vital for organisations. It ensures you remain compliant with the increasing amount of regulations and legislation which impacts on the day-to-day running of the payroll department.
Duration 26 weeks
On completion of this course, you will have gained the knowledge required to enable you to efficiently and accurately handle the variety of issues encountered when processing payroll.

Aimed at Payroll administrators, coordinators and officers working in a bureau, accountancy firm or in-house payroll team. This course is also suitable for human resources and finance professionals who have responsibility for the payroll department but need a hands-on comprehension of how payroll figures and forms are produced.
Course content ● Calculating and apportioning gross pay ● National Minimum Wage ● National Insurance contributions ● Taxable pay and Income Tax calculations ● Statutory Sick Pay calculations and administration ● Child-related statutory payment calculations and administration ● Administering statutory deductions and additional payroll obligations
Entry requirements ● Be at least 18 years old ● Affiliate student (or higher) CIPP member What next? Following completion, we recommend the Payroll Specialist Certificate (page 21), or the Payroll Technician Certificate – TOP UP (see below).
