The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is a specialised area of payroll with unique definitions, responsibilities and calculations. This course covers everything needed to administer CIS correctly within an organisation. In this half-day session, delegates will learn which work falls under CIS, the definitions and registration requirements for contractors, deemed contractors, and subcontractors and how to calculate payments and complete the CIS300 return. The course also covers penalties for non-compliance, offsetting CIS deductions and the principles of employment status as they relate to CIS.
