Prep School

Eco Team

The Prep Eco team had an Autumnal meet this week, harvesting apples and pears from the garden of Mr and Mrs Noad. While the team felt honoured to be allowed to gather in this delicious harvest, they also felt extra invested in the end product as the apples and pears will be given to both the Food and Nutrition department and our kitchens. They are hoping for another school - grown apple crumble, like the one they enjoyed for lunch this week. We will also be using the apples in teaching to make a baked spiced apple dish and

apple bread and the canteen in apple tray bakes and apple chutney in the dining hall.

The Eco team are also looking forward to a delivery of another 600 bulbs from Bulbs4schools for the Prep School to plant just after half tem. We are aiming to create as many pollinators as possible for Spring.

The winners of the European Day of Languages Bake Off The winners of the European Day of Languages Bake Off for the Prep School were presented with their prizes in Chapel on Tuesday. Mrs Webber showed photos of all the wonderful entries while Mr Mann explained why they were picked as winners. Judging was very difficult as the standard was so high and all the pupils who entered had really excelled themselves. The overall winner was Charlotte while Stella , Ella and Sophia were highly commended. They all received certificates, an engraved wooden spoon and Charlotte was also presented with a Baking Book.
