PARALYMPIC ARCHERY Cost: Free Age: 10+ Location: Bass Pro Shop, 1000 Basspro Dr., Pearland, Texas
Come join us at the Bass Pro Shop at the Beltway 8 / Highway 288 intersection for our Paralympic Archery program. This program occurs the second and fourth Wednesday of every month and is open to all persons with a physical disability. Bring your own bow if you have one, however, one will be provided if needed. Wed., Jan. 10 - May 16, 2 - 4 p.m. INCLUSIVE ARCHERY TAG® Cost: Free Age: 10+ Location: RCN Open to all persons with physical disabilities and those who are independent in their wheelchairs. Archery Tag® is the newest combat sport on the market that combines the adrenaline rush of paintball with the fun of dodgeball! Our brand new inclusive Archery Tag® offers participants the same skill and fun as air-soft or paintball without the mess or pain. Played similar to dodgeball but with our bows and patented foam-tipped arrows, this exciting, action-packed game offers the ultimate archery/team experience as you and your team attempt to “tag” all of your opponents. WHEELCHAIR FOOTBALL / BASKETBALL Cost: Free Age: 10+ Location: RCN Open to all persons with physical disabilities who are independent in their wheelchairs. Athletes can determine whether to play wheelchair football or wheelchair basketball. Come out and practice, play and socialize on one full court. No registration required.
Thur., Jan. 11 - May 17, 7 - 9 p.m. ADAPTIVE BASKETBALL Cost: Free Age: 8+ Location: RCN
The Adaptive Basketball program is open to all persons with developmental disabilities. Have fun while building fitness, coordination, and teamwork. Participants learn basic basketball skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, playing defense, etc. Open to all skill levels. Parents, guardians, and caregivers must assist those with special needs to make this a rewarding experience. No registration required. Thur., Jan. 11 - May 17, 6 - 7 p.m. BOWLING Cost: Free Age: 10+ Location: Alvin Bowling Center This class is open to people with developmental disabilities. Join the No Limit Bowling Team and make new friends, improve your game and enjoy the support of other participants. Set a personal goal and work on improving every week. Parents, guardians and caregivers must assist those with special needs to make this a rewarding experience. Bowling ramps and bumpers available. Open to all skill levels. Join us for an hour-long fitness session. This program is open to all persons with developmental disabilities. Participants will be able to use the indoor track as well as access to the exercise equipment along the track and have access to a basketball court.
