ADAPTIVE WATER EXERCISES
Goalball is a fast-paced, exciting team sport specifically designed for people who are blind or visually impaired but can be played and enjoyed by all. Participants play in teams of three and players aim to roll the ball into the opposing team’s goal while wearing a blindfold. Players also use the sound of the bell embedded into the ball to identify the position and movement. All equipment is provided. The program is held on the 3rd Wednesday of March and April. Participants must email acerda@pearlandtx.gov or call 281.412.8904 by the Mon. before the start of the course.

An interactive and fun water class with simple water exercises and stretches. All classes take place in the activity pool. Participants must be comfortable in the water. ADAPTIVE COOKING / ARTS AND CRAFTS Cost: Free Age: 6+ Location: WEC
This class is open to persons with developmental disabilities. Come join us for a class filled with fun arts and crafts activities! Each class the participant will create a piece of art they can be proud to show off or even give away as a gift. The participants will also participate in a cooking class, in which they will go over the basics of cooking such as measuring, mixing, prepping, baking and many other things. The class will last approximately an hour and a half and will run every other Mon. Each person will get to eat/take home what they cook at the end of every class. At the end of the session, each participant will receive a pc book of the items they have cooked. Participants must RSVP by Fri. before class to acerda@pearlandtx.gov or at 281.412.8904 .
