JEWDAR
OVER THE LAST DECADE, Adam Sandler has pivoted to two types of film: bold, unexpected dramas ( Uncut Gems, Jay Kelly, Spaceman ) and direct-to-Netflix family fluff ( Hubie Halloween, Murder Mystery, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah ) . The target audience of the latter has grown alongside his daughters, Sadie (now 20 TELEVISION / MUSICAL Nepo Babies Turned Nepo Young Adults

Sadie starred in Room- mates this past spring (directed by the Canadian Jewish filmmaker Chandler Levack, whose spec- tacular coming-of-age film I Like Movies put her on Sandler’s radar), while Sunny stars in Don’t Say Good Luck as Sophie Birenbaum, a drama kid preparing for the lead role in her school musical. TELEVISION / COMEDY History Is a Joke
THE CO-CREATOR of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm writes, executive produces, and appears in this seven-episode series commemorating the 250th anniversary of the US Declara- tion of Independence, made with Barack and Michelle Obama’s
production company. Streaming weekly, the show draws on Lary David’s trademark Jewish neuroticism to subvert sentimental views of history and create more Larry-esque versions of formative moments. Watch for appearances from Jerry Seinfeld, Curb writer Susie Essman, and Curb co-star (and co–executive producer) Jeff Garlin. Jonathan Rothman
