Comparing to peer cities, Fort Worth’s reliance on private auto use is among the highest, as shown in Figure 02-27 . Cities like Seattle, with more robust transit and cycling options, show a more balanced mode share. To achieve a more balanced distribution of modes in Fort Worth, alternative transportation options should be expanded and enhanced. This will provide residents with appealing choices that enhance accessibility, reduce congestion, and contribute to a more sustain- able and connected Fort Worth.
