In-person Engagement Opportunities
3.3.3. Open Houses Beginning with district meetings in Fall 2024, the City of Fort Worth hosted four major open house series under the M1M initiative and MTP to engage residents in shaping transportation priorities. Objectives across all events included educating the public, gathering feedback on safety and mobility needs, and advancing resilient infrastructure planning. Each series had distinct goals:
Across all 10 Council Districts, participants explored solutions for safer streets, expanded sidewalks and bike lanes, improved transit connections, and smart traffic technologies. This holistic approach strengthened collaboration between the City and its communities, helping to identify and prioritize future transportation investments reflect local needs and support a safe, accessible, and resilient network for all. The following sections provides an overview of each open house’s purpose and outcomes.
■ Summer 2024: Introduce MTP and collect broad input on safety, transit, and sustainability and Advance SAP with strategies for eliminating severe crashes. ■ Fall 2024: Refine priorities and address district-specific congestion and infrastructure gaps. ■ Fall 2025: Shape TIP for future bond-funded projects.
