Vision Zero The Vision Zero program reflects the City’s commitment to eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Fort Worth streets. The program is organized into three sub-categories: Schools and Neighborhood Safety, which funds infrastructure improvements within a half-mile of middle schools; Sidewalks, which addresses gaps in the pedestrian network using a scored prioritization methodology; and Roadway Safety Upgrades, a citywide program targeting high-injury network corridors. The near-term program funds seven Schools and Neighborhood Safety projects, ten priority sidewalk projects, and a citywide safety upgrade program.
