For FGD Glass Solutions, the art of creating architectural glass goes far beyond function. It's a blend of craftsmanship, passion, and vision. Founded in 1984 as On-Site Systems, the company began by offering a unique service: mobile glass etching during business hours without disrupting daily operations. Today, that small, innovative venture has grown into FGD Glass Solutions, a leader in the decorative and architectural glass industry, trusted for its ability to combine artistry with cutting-edge solutions. John Rose, Marketing Director at FGD Glass, reveals that the company’s journey began with a simple idea: to meet the demand for high-quality, on-site etched glass. "It was revolutionary back in the ‘80s," Rose recalls. "We could go into a high-rise building, etch room numbers on door plates while the company was still open, and not cause a disturbance." This innovative spirit fueled the company’s early success and laid the foundation for the wide-ranging services FGD Glass Solutions now offers. From Etching to Architectural Mastery: Expanding Horizons The company quickly expanded beyond etching, evolving in response to customer demand. "We were known for etching glass, but customers started asking us to do more—laminating, back-painting, digitally printing. It all grew from there," Rose explains.
