of Science in Healthcare Ad- ministration program. UAB is currently ranked as the number one healthcare ad- ministration program in the country! Brother Burns was one of 30 candidates chosen to attend the program. It is evident that Frank’s young life epitomizes Achievement and that he sees obstacles as opportu- nities to achieve in spite of; not because of. We are thankful to Cherie A. Mc- Clendon and Frank Burns, Sr, Frank Jr.’s parents – for God’s most precious gift to you has been a blessing to the Noble Clan of Kappa Alpha Psi. Here's to Guy L. Grant Award recipient Frank Ed-

ward Burns Jr.!

He was the collegiate president of the NAACP, and chapter President of the Theta Beta Chapter of Kap- pa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. At the closing of his junior year he would make history at his school by becoming the first male ever of the NPHC to become student body president and the third African American to hold the position all while serving as the South-Central Province Junior Vice Polemarch. Brother Burns graduated in May of 2018 and now works at Nashville General Hospital. He will attend The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the Fall in the Executive Master

“I became acquainted with Kappa Alpha Psi ® in my formative years and received mentoring and guidance from several members. I am also a recipient of a Kappa scholarship, thus becoming a member of the fraternity has been a transformative experi- ence. Through Kappa, I have grown as a leader and as a member of society.”
