WINNERS

Aster House in Belfast is a well-designed, purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Belfast City Centre built with wellness and sustainability at its core. The judges were particularly impressed with how Farrans faced complex issues head-on and in a collaborative manner, such as using pioneering construction techniques to build over an active railway and dealing with significant acoustic problems while working in such a restricted site. The attention to detail at this site and the high-quality finishes are also noteworthy, and the development provides a secure environment where students can feel safe – a home away from home.
