Technology Services Section The Technology Services Section is responsible for all:
Research and project management of technology advancement Application Development User support Providing support to the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors Master data management Capital project planning Budget planning of technology related assets and services Assisting with and supporting technology-related facility improvements and hardware moves Ensuring compliance with technology-related federal, state and local regulations and policies including CJIS, HIPPA, Privacy Policy, etc. Support of the department’s Records Management System and other third party applications Establishing and maintaining a client role with the members of the Police Department to coordinate and meet the various IT needs Assisting in group membership management and periodic review of Police Department related Active Directory security groups Serving as a liaison between the Police Department and the IT Solutions Department to budget, schedule, and maintain elements of network infrastructure, server refresh and replacement, security, desktop and application support for Police information systems The mission of the Technology Services Section is to provide support and technical expertise to fulfill the varied area specific missions of the organization. Technology Services achieves the mission by assuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and accuracy of police information systems and data for research and analysis, as well as ensuring timely and accurate transmission of crime statistics to the State.

Continue to analyze workload and provide justification for three additional positions (FY18-FY20) in support of department growth and technological advancements to increase capacity and efficiencies. *Continue to implement technological advancements to increase officer capabilities, increase efficiencies and provide improved customer service to the community each year. *Continue to conduct research to advance the department in the use of technology in support of law enforcement each year.
