3.0 Mail piece physical properties 3.1 Flexibility Mailing items must be flexible enough to be capable of being processed in our sorting machines without damage to the machine, mail item or other mailing items. Each mail item must, therefore, be capable of being transported around a pulley with a radius of 140mm with a maximum force of 26 Newtons. Items that are too stiff will not be able to meet this requirement as shown below:
