shining light that shineth more and more, growing brighter and bright er until that perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). What optimism should be our nature. While this old world is getting worse and worse, yet, for us bad news is good news. We can say, "Cheer up, the worst is yet to come!" Knowing Christ as Saviour makes every day an exciting adven ture. The best is yet to come! What our omnipotent God is doing now is just a foretaste of glory divine. The Bible says, "We know" for cer tain and as a fact that there is a great day coming when this mor tal shall put on immortality (I John 3:2). Jesus promised, "If I go away (and He did), I will come again" (and He will). Jesus is going to appear, you can be sure of that — it may be today! At that moment we shall be like Him. Four times in I John 3:2 the fu ture tense occurs: "We shall be"; "He shall appear"; "we shall be"; and "we shall see." There is no question that needs to enter our minds. The only information He has not seen fit to give us specifi cally is the day and the hour. We know it will be with suddenness for He has testified, "Behold, I come quickly." The last words in the Bible are "Even so, come Lord Jesus." You see, with faith in Christ we are not looking for the under taker, but for the Upper-taker. This should be a real cause for Christian purity: Jesus may come today! Cod has predestinated that one day every born again individual will be just like Jesus Christ (Rom ans 8:29). Our citizenship is in heaven. This old body of humilia tion, with all of its aches and pains, is going to be miraculously trans-

For many, all hopes, am bitions, and plans are permeated with the subconscious fear that perhaps there will not be any fu ture for mankind. We can be most grateful that the Bible has much to say about the believer's future. There is no ques tion involved for our destiny is ab solutely certain and assured. Cod's Word is the key. What great com fort come in the beautiful and confident words, "Beloved, now are we the children of Cod" (I John 3:2). This family relationship oc curs through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26). It is not some thing we have to wait to enjoy un til we get to heaven. There is the positive certainty that right this moment we are the children of Cod. You see, the Bible is for NOW. Whether the world recog nizes the fact or not does not alter the situation. We are the children of God. We have not the ability to com prehend fully what we shall be. Here and there the veil has been lifted (Romans 8:18), yet, by and large, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them who love Him." This life on earth is barely even a beginning. We can not conceive of what we are going to look like in our resurrection bodies. For instance, what about the skin color? No, many things have not as yet been made mani fest. Of this much we can be sure: the best is yet to come! The path of the just is as the
