About the Scholarship This scholarship is in memory of Dr. Fern Horn, who received her undergraduate degree from UWSP, master’s from UW-Stout, and doctorate from Michigan State University. She taught home economics at UWSP for more than twenty years and was a leader in developing instructional materials for use by home economics teachers across the county. This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic ability, professional involvement in family and consumer sciences clubs or organizations, and competency as a classroom teacher. Consumer Sciences. Macy hopes to work as a teacher in the Rosholt area while earning a master's degree. Macey is a family and consumer sciences major and is minoring in health education.
