HAPPY FALL, Y’ALL! FUN THINGS TO DO IN SAN DIEGO THIS MONTH
September brings about slightly cooler temperatures, Labor Day weekend, the return of football, back to school, and the first day of fall. This means that the holiday season is just around the corner. While we anxiously await holiday festivities, there’s still much to do around town this month. California Wine Month September is California Wine Month. Did you know that San Diego has over 100 wineries, and they are all just minutes away from the beach? San Diego wines are famous for their rich aromas, heavenly quality, and concentration. This month, make it a point to visit a winery or two to celebrate. The San Diego Blues Festival On Saturday, Sept. 10, the San Diego Blues Festival is returning to the downtown San Diego
waterfront. Whether you enjoy listening to good blues music from your lawn chair or in covered, reserved seating, you’re sure to have a great time — the lineup doesn’t disappoint. Sea World’s Howl-O-Scream Get a jump-start on Halloween fun. Sea World’s Howl-O-Scream starts Sept. 16. With haunted houses, scare zones, terrifying performances, amazing rides, and spooky cocktail bars, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss. San Diego Bayfair From Sept. 16–18, San Diego’s Bayfair on Mission Bay will be arriving. The events feature thunderboat racing, dragboats, hydroplanes, tunnel hulls, concerts, fireworks, vendors, and yummy food. If you’re ready for a good time, head on down.
California Surfing Day On Sept. 20, we celebrate California Surfing Day, and in San Diego, surfing is surely a way of life. Be sure to check out some of San Diego’s best surfing beaches to celebrate. La Jolla Windansea, Oceanside, Pacific Beach, La Jolla Black’s Beach, and Lower Trestles will surely have some of the most dedicated surfers out on the water celebrating.
