Riley, 11, Mason County She has learned how to sew during the COVID-19 pandemic and has made and shipped filtered face masks all over the U.S. She believes everyone should have them for free and that God will pro- vide the donations to keep her project going. That’s exactly what has happened. She has now made and shipped more than 1,000 masks to anyone who needs one. This child is a true blessing and deserves to be recognized! Wade, 11 Wood County

He is an incredible child with a big heart. Recently, he spent eight days at WVU Medicine Children’s for a ruptured appendix. That diagnosis led to two major surgeries and an extremely tough time for Wade and his family, since no visitors were allowed in the hospital because of COVID-19. Wade is usually an energetic kid who enjoys gaming and sports and is on the principal’s list and leadership team at his school.
