Christmas angels wanted
Luc Bissonnette, general manager at Grenon Your Independent Grocer in Rockland, hangs up the first Christmas Angel on the Angel Tree set up at the store by volunteers with the Centre d’aide de Rockland Help Centre for the annual Christmas Angel program.The tree is covered with “angels” representing children of local families in need.Anyone wanting to help make sure these children have a gift of their own this Christmas just has to take an “angel”, find a suitable gift for the child it represents, and bring the unwrapped present back to the store for deposit in the box beside the tree. Similar Christmas Elves programs are in operation at local banks and other sites with the same guidelines for donations.
