Women In Arboriculture Career Pathways: Insights and Opportunities for New and Curious Professionals Monday, October 3, 2022 | 2:30 pm to 3 pm (.50 CEU) Presenter: Kali Alcorn Location: The Shore Room An informative, experiential, and entertaining exploration of what the urban forest - ry and arboriculture profession and the wide world of trees has to offer in terms of employment and career possibilities. The speaker’s shared experiences along with the experiences of other professional women are complimented by an over - view of the arboriculture and urban forestry field to help guide new and curious professionals alike.

Kali Alcorn is currently a City Arborist with the City of Surrey. In her role she interprets the Tree Protection Bylaw and completes risk assessments on private trees. Kali has competed in four Inter - national Tree Climbing Championships, is an Assistant Instructor with the Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop and has been in the industry for 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, live music, teaching yoga and meditation, and most recently started a role volunteering at

her local Hospice.
