As a necessity, approaches to self-care often evolve as the climber matures. Join Wenda as she shares her experiences of having to adapt to the high demands as a climber and the cop - ing strategies she used to help maintain her health and well-being to prolong her climbing career.

Wenda Li has been in the arboriculture industry for 30 years and has been passionate about trees all her life. She holds a degree in forestry and has worked extensively within the private sector as a climbing arborist, job estimator, and a consulting arborist. She has been a past instructor and technician at Humber College School of Arboriculture in Toronto and has taught and trained arborists in

Hong Kong. In 2002, Wenda was the International Women’s Tree Climbing Cham - pion and most recently, she was awarded the Ontario ISA Special Achievement Award. She currently works for Elite Tree Care in Toronto, Canada.
