Michel Marion was the weekly winner of the Catch the Ace lottery draw, winning $ 859 on Sunday, March 18. The Kin Club of Russell has been holding its Catch the Ace lottery draw at Étienne Brûlé Brewery in Embrun over the last 27 weeks. The jackpot has now grown to over $16,500. All ticket proceeds go directly back to the Township of Russell. Since its beginning, the draw has raised over $26,000 for the community. Depuis 27 semaines, Le Kin Club de Russell tient son tirage au sort de la loterie Catch the Ace, à la brasserie Étienne Brûlé à Embrun. Le gros lot est maintenant évalué à plus de 16 500 $. Russell Scotiabank gave its last fundraising donation towards the Russell Township Sports Dome, on Tuesday, March 21. Their $ 4,000 cheque presentation brings Russell Scotiabank’s total donations towards the sports dome close to $ 35,000 making them the largest contributor outside the Kin Club of Russell. “This community is blessed with such generous individuals, groups and businesses and Russell Scotiabank is indeed a key partner for the sports dome and community,” said Len Trembley, the Kin Club of Russell’s Sports Dome fundraising committee financial lead. “We cannot thank them enough.” Pictured from left to right are four Russell Scotiabank employees, Jennifer Bergeron, Nikki Jardine-Frigon, Lynne Rochon, Suzanne Bolduc, and Len Trembley of Kin Club of Russell.
