As of the beginning of June, Austin does have Lyft, Uber and Ride. Super Shuttle is also available, or you can take advantage of the group rate we have with Avis! All you need to do is call 1-800-331-1600 and use the AWD# D447131 to obtain the Avis discount. For those of you planning to make this a mini- vacation, this rate is available 7 days before the meeting and 7 days after the end date so we have you covered! The resort is only 15.4 miles away from the airport so it is a short commute! Just remember, when you are ready to depart you will need to pre-arrange transportation and be aware this may cause some delay (30 to 40 minutes), so please be prepared. The resort does not provide any transportation options of its own; however, upon check-in you may request a card to arrange for departure. Fortunately for those that are driving self-parking is free at the hotel, which is fantastic for those of us within driving range! Valet parking is $30 per day and includes in and out privileges. Daytime parking for an event is $15 per day. Houstonians: If you are driving in from Houston, you have two possible routes. You can take US-290 through Brenham. This route will take you approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes, but beware of traffic on this route when leaving on Friday! I have been warned it FOR THOSE WILLING TO ENJOY A ROAD TRIP WE WELCOME YOU!
It really is down to the wire and I gotta ask you “ARE YOU READY”??????? I know I am!!!! I need to get out of town, kick up those heels for a little while, and get away! It is time to firm up those flight confirmations and check your routes. Are you going to take your time and enjoy some of the great Texas sites--maybe stop in Salado for some fabulous art and jewelry (one of my personal favorites) or possibly hit the outlet malls outside Austin? Or are ya heading to Lost Pines full steam ahead, pedal to the metal, so you can kick back, relax, get a drink in hand and let loose? Either way we are ready for you!
