PROJECT

LANSDOWNE PLACE, DUBLIN

IN A SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP WITH COSGROVE ELECTRICAL, ARGAND SWITCHGEAR SUPPLIED ALL LV SWITCHGEAR FOR THE LANSDOWNE PLACE PROJECT… SWITCHGEAR

A rgand Switchgear supplied all LV switchgear for the Lansdowne Place project, including all main and sub-distribution boards and metering panels. With a wealth of experience from its 25 years of history and an understanding of the expectations of all stakeholders, Argand Switchgear delivered a compliant and high-quality LV Switchgear package, owing to the high quality required for such a high- profile development. The prestigious project wasn’t the company’s first partnership with Cosgrove Electrical, as both have worked together on numerous large-scale and renowned residential schemes in Ireland and have a solid working relationship. According to Argand General Manager Mark Lord, one of Argand Switchgear’s key USPs as a business is indeed the relationships they have established with their customers. “Delivery and service levels are crucial on a project like this to ensure a successful practical completion,” he explained. “Harnessing the strong and long-established relationship between Argand and Cosgrove Electrical, the two

companies worked closely together to achieve a successful delivery.” Special requirements Large-scale residential projects in urban locations can often bring space restrictions, both logistically and from a space constraint point of view within switch rooms. “Distribution boards for this project were designed and manufactured to suit the space provided and Argand worked closely with Cosgrove Electrical and the design team to ensure all switchgear could be designed to work within these constraints,” Mark commented. He also pointed out design changes and requirements in any electrical installation are a given in projects of this size, and they were successfully addressed by Argand as well. “All variations were promptly allowed for the switchgear design and modifications were carried out on-site by Argand as required.” According to Mark, as with any successful project, the satisfaction is in the end product, “With a project such as Lansdowne Place, the end product

is clearly of the highest quality and specification, and Argand Switchgear were happy to have had the opportunity to work with Cosgrove Electrical on this scheme.” Respected manufacturer Argand Switchgear was established 25 years ago to provide low-voltage switchgear solutions for the Irish market. The company has grown steadily to become a respected and proven manufacturer of low-voltage switchgear for both Irish and foreign markets. As a result of cost-effective, high-quality and on-time production, the company has built up a highly valued client base with repeat business being the catalyst for continuous growth.
