LANSDOWNE PLACE, DUBLIN

LIGHTING CONTROL AND AV INTEGRATION REW ELECTRICAL AND SECURITY DISTRIBUTORS WORKED WITH THE LANSDOWNE PLACE DESIGN TEAM TO CREATE AND TAILOR HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS…

R EW Electrical and Security commission lighting control systems, wiring accessories, and consumer units for the prestigious Lansdowne Place development. The elected home automation brand to manage the lighting in the kitchen, dining area, living area, and the sunroom was the Legrand MyHOME system, giving the residents a selection of lighting scenes and manual dimming control in their kitchen and living areas. Distributors was employed by Cosgrove Electrical Services to REW also supplied Hager consumer units and Legrand Synergy wiring accessories in flat plate polished stainless steel. The products were supplied for all 215 apartments with more than one bedroom, which feature bespoke interiors and exquisite finishes, and the spacious penthouses with panoramic views of Dublin 4. The company also provided materials for the Resident’s Club. AV control was

requested for the bespoke resident amenities building and Vantage Controls was up to the job providing a fully networked AV control system. A selection of wall-mounted touch screens and iPad docking stations enables control of lighting scenes, multi-zone audio and multi-screen video providing system control in areas like the cinema, gym, wellness centre, library, lounge and function room. The Resident’s Club also features Nuvo home audio systems. In such a high-profile project with special attention to detail, the REW team worked closely with the developer’s design team to find the best installation solution for each residential unit. “It was very satisfying to deal with them to design the correct controls for each area, and then liaising with the install teams to get the project over the line,” commented Eugene Duffy, automation specialist at REW. With over 40 years of history,

The company is incredibly proud to be part of such a successful project. “Lansdowne Place was a massive undertaking for a number of departments within our business,” commented Managing Director Fergal McStay. “Our technical department collaborated with the design team on many different aspects for the development, from creating and tailoring a home control system specific to particular locations within the properties to an array of different finishing plates specified throughout the development.” REW’s sales team also worked hard to avoid any supply disruptions. “The sales team excelled at sourcing products, managing orders and reducing any supply chain issues that may have arisen to ensure there was no impact on completion dates,’’ Fergal added.
