Headteachers statement:
VE Day
Dear parents and carers,
We took time as a school to commemorate VE day this
As we reach the end of another half term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has, once again, been a very busy and rewarding few weeks in school. It has been wonderful to see our children so engaged in their learning and making the most of every opportunity available to them. One of the highlights this half term has been DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) week. The creativity and enthusiasm shown by the children was truly inspiring. We saw reading taking place in all sorts of unusual and exciting locations, including even the swimming pool! A special well done goes to Ash Class , who were awarded the prize for finding the most interesting and creative places to read. As their reward, they will be taking £50 to a local bookshop to choose new books for the school. Looking ahead to the summer term, we are excited to be preparing for our annual Sports Day , which is always a wonderful occasion for our school community. We warmly invite all families to come along. Dates and further details will be shared soon , so please keep an eye out for this information. Finally, with the warmer weather upon us, I hope you all find time to enjoy the sunshine. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable half term break.
half–term. Children learnt about honoring those who have served in wars and helped to keep us safe. Children also did art work and decorated biscuits to take home.
Saint George ’ s Day
We marked Saint George ’ s day by learning about George and the dragon, decorating flags, celebrated British music and had a special cake baked for us!
