Bruno Award recip- ients by Printing Industries of America. The award is given by the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) to print professionals with distinguished ca- reers in appreciation of their contributions to the ad- vancement of the graphic arts. Palmeri, Jamestown Container CEO, was in- ducted as the 25th member of the International Corru- gated Packaging Foundation’s Circle of Distinguished Leaders at the recent AICC general membership at- tending the AICC Spring meeting in Miami, Florida. W&H Hosts Future Of Flexo Open House At the end of March, machine manufacturer Wind- möller & Hölscher hosted visitors to the open house “Experience the Future of Flexo”. More than 500 visi- tors from around the globe attended demonstrations. The Open House featured the premiere of the NOVO- FLEX II high-performance flexographic printing press, which is said to be able to print the most challeng- ing jobs at maximum speeds.W&H demonstrated the performance of the new system by switching between two images at a speed of 600 meters per minute. The MIRAFLEX from W&H is the market’s best-sell- ing press with more than 650 machines worldwide. At the Open House, W&H showed the MIRAFLEX II in two versions:The dual-port and a new compact sin- gle-port that requires less floor space. W&H also used the demonstration of the two MIRAF- LEX II versions for a direct comparison of CMYK color separation with multicolor separation.While the single port printed in 4 color, the dual port worked with a fixed 7C color palette. The Information and Diagnostics Center (IDC) demon- strated the use of digital data glasses during live trouble- shooting:A customer who needs technical support puts on the headset with integrated camera and connects to an expert from the IDC.The expert sees everything the customer sees in real time and can help him quickly and easily. In the medium term, the digital services will be used in both service support and training.
