Queen Esther was brave because she trusted in God, just as David was brave when he faced the giant. They did not face the danger alone, but with God. Closing Prayer.— Dear Lord Jesus, help us to be brave in the face of danger because we are trusting in Thee to be our Helper. Ipl BLACKBOARD SKETCHES We find in this lesson that Israel is delivered from destruction because of Esther’s wisdom and bravery, in spite of apparent obstacles- Much more suc­ cess in the Christian life would be ob­ tained if we at first sought God’s will and then went forward regardless of the apparent difficulties. The blackboard work may seem dif­ ficult at firpt sight, but it is simply a few lines. After explaining the lesson make the application by drawing the path and mountains. Draw the man and ask the class which is the easiest way for him to reach the top. They will all reply, "Take the path” . Then draw the side posts, explaining that if we seek God’s will through prayer and the Word our Christian ambitions "will be accom­ plished as Esther’s. Let us learn it. “ God is my helper.” She was not only per­ mitted to come into the presence of the king, but he gave orders that the wicked servant who wanted the Jews killed, be killed himself, and the Jews were saved. BUT YOU DON’T Tell me where you worship God on Sunday and I will tell you the kind of a Christian you are. You can worship God in your home Sunday— But you don’t. You can worship God in the woods and in the field—-But you don’t. You can worship God on the lakes and on the’ rivers— But you don’t. You can worship God on the road in the auto or in the buggy—But you don’t.
