MECHANICAL INNOVATION MEETS FIRE SAFETY IN THE NEW GU SECURY LOGIQ AUTOMATIC MULTIPOINT LOCK
Gretsch-Unitas Limited, a leading supplier of window and door technology, has announced the launch of the GU Secury LogIQ Automatic Multipoint Lock. By rethinking the locking mechanism, Gretsch- Unitas has created a solution that overcomes the installation and compatibility hurdles often found in automatic hardware, allowing for seamless integration into standard door preparations. At the core of the GU Secury LogIQ is an innovative trigger mechanism integrated directly within the top and bottom latch bolts. This design allows the lock to engage automatically as soon as the door is closed, achieving a full 20mm bolt projection without the need for external triggers or magnets.
To ensure smooth operation for the end user, the system features an integral patented hold-back feature that allows for controlled movement during both daily use and the initial installation process. The system is designed to fit standard door preparations, allowing fabricators to add automatic locking to their existing product range without the need for new tooling or bespoke routing. With a 45mm backset and universal handing, the GU Secury LogIQ simplifies the retrofitting process for existing configurations, effectively reducing the requirement for specialised stock. This mechanical reliability is supported by rigorous durability testing, with the mechanism exceeding the requirements of
