OPTIONS FOR LEARNING We provide a mix of professional development opportunities to support members’ professional learning needs and the requirements members must meet in our mandatory continuing professional development program. APEGA offered a variety of sessions in 2017—everything from career management to incident investigation best practices. Our biggest professional development event, the APEGA Annual General Meeting & Conference, included 24 interactive sessions in 2017. Regulatory insights, technical knowledge, management and leadership skills, and job search savviness in today’s environment—these topics and more were presented. Including the conference, we held 13 professional development events across the province, supporting the learning needs of about 580 members. Individual branches also offered their own speakers, tours, and other PD events, reaching hundreds of other members.
