What I did: I oversaw capturing and creating content on all the camps social media platforms. This included photography/videography with a weekly photo album and weekly recap video edits. This was for parents and kids to look back on each camper’s week while they go to summer camp. This also markets the camp attracting new campers and sponsors for the following season. For the second half of my job, I was in charge of coaching all types of watersports to children ages 10-17. This was a full-time job watching kids almost 24 hours a day throughout the week. I set up different activities each evening for campers to participate. I am now a New Hampshire commercial boat driver and was a lifeguard. What I liked: I really enjoyed coaching kids and watching them progress each week while at camp. I also made a lot of great connections and met some amazing people. Running a social media page for a business is a lot of hard work but pays off when you get a lot of positive feedback from your pictures/videos. It was also a lot of fun to learn more about video editing and photography. The camp itself was setup perfectly with two brand new Master Craft NXT wake boats, five cabins, and time to ride on the water. I also had time off to explore New England and all its beauty. Future Dream Job: I’d love to be a snowboard content creator or do marketing for a major ski resort in Colorado.
