Welcome
n Sophie Rollins joins us from Connaught House in central London where she has been Assistant Academic Coordinator and Whole School IT & Computing Coordinator. Much of her experience has been in Key Stage 1, but Sophie will be a Year 3 Form Tutor as well as our new ICT Coordinator. She has a 2:1 in Primary Education from St Mary’s University in Twickenham.
n Rowan Doherty joins us from Valley Park Community School in Sheffield where she completed her two-year Teach First Leadership qualification with distinction. Previously, she attended Edinburgh University where she was awarded a 2:1 in Geography. Rowan will be a Year 5 Form Tutor. She has a broad range of interests, but particularly all sports (including rowing, hockey, athletics and swimming), along with environmental issues.
n Having recently moved from Australia with his partner, Angus Lawson joins the Year 4 team here in the Junior School. He previously taught in the Junior Department at Newington College, Sydney, after qualifying from Sydney University with a Masters in Teaching (primary) and a BA in History and Economics. He is a keen sportsman and will coordinate the games and PE in Year 4.
n Jacob Allen will join us as our Graduate Assistant Teacher. Jacob got a 2:1 from St Mary’s University in Twickenham in Sports Science and also studied on a sports scholarship at the University of San Francisco, where he was Athletics team captain. He has recently worked as an ‘Athlete Manny’ and volunteered at two primary schools since returning from the US. He is an international athlete at 5000m but likes all sports, especially rugby.
n Ronke Olusanya arrives at the Junior School as our Learning Support Coordinator. She has previously worked at Tidemill Academy in Deptford and Horniman Primary School in Forest Hill. Ronke is fluent in German, having lived in Switzerland for 10 years, and is passionate about all aspects of language learning. She enjoys watching foreign language films and is a keen supporter of numerous charitable causes.
