JOHN KEHOE Men’s Soccer Head Coach

Coach John Kehoe is going into his third season at MRA as the Head Boys Soccer Coach. Kehoe played soccer at Belhaven from 2006-2010. He received his master’s in the Science of Leadership from Belhaven in 2013. He has coached in the Jackson area for over 10 years and is currently the Director of Player Development with Mississippi Rush. Kehoe holds his USSF “A” coaching license and national youth license.

STEPHEN ROBERSON Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Coach Stephen Roberson is going in to his second season at MRA as the Assistant Boys Coach and as the Head Boys Junior Varsity Soccer Coach. He is also in his second year of coaching for the Mississippi Rush Soccer Club located in central Mississippi. Having grown up in Madison and playing competitive soccer from the age of 6 through age 19, Stephen has been around soccer his whole life. He was a 4 year starter for Madison Central High School where he was named Mississippi Boys Soccer Player of the Year in 2011. He continued his collegiate career at the University of Tulsa from 2011 through 2014. He finished his collegiate career at Mississippi

College in 2015. Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree fromTulane University in Health andWellness in the Fall of 2018. Stephen currently plays on the GAFFA FC adult competitive soccer team representing the state of Mississippi. He holds his “E” coaching license through USYS. PAYTON LOCKEY Assistant Soccer Coach

Payton Lockey joined the MRA coaching staff in 2016 as a volunteer assistant and Goalkeeper coach for both the girls and boys soccer teams. He currently assist Mississippi Rush soccer teams with Goalkeeper training and has US Soccer “E” Coaching License and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 + Level 2 Diplomas. Payton graduated from Jackson Academy in 1990 where he led the Raiders to a State Title in soccer. He received a B.S. in Geology from Millsaps College and played on the soccer team. Payton is a Patron of MRA and currently lives in Madison with his wife – Amanda.

They have a daughter Lacy (10th grade), and son Payton (7th grade).

LAUREN STRATTON Women’s Soccer Head Coach

Lauren Host Stratton is a 2007 graduate of MRA where she lettered in soccer, basketball, track, and tennis. Her senior year, she was chosen for the MPSA All Star soccer team, where she was selected as the Most Valuable Player. Lauren was also a guard for the 2007 Overall State Championship Basketball team, and she won the Don Souder Outstanding Academic Athletic Award that year as well. After high school, Lauren continued her soccer career at Mississippi State University. After finishing at MSU, she began her teaching and coaching career at Olive Branch High School. In 2015, she was selected as Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year for DeSoto

County. This will be her sixth year as head coach at MRA, and she is very excited to have so many players returning and continue to build on the success from last year. Lauren is married to Matt Stratton, who works at Raborn Media. They have two children, Bo who will be in K3 at MRA and Emily who will be one in November. BETHANY FRAZIER: Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

Coach Frazier is a 2005 graduate of Jackson Academy where she played soccer. During her senior season, she received All Star Recognition and was a key component to the team’s success. She continued her soccer career at Mississippi State University from 2005-2009. While at Mississippi State, Coach Frazier was named to the All SEC Freshman team and SEC Honor Roll. She has helped coach at Clinton High School and is currently a Pre-K teacher in Vicksburg.
