“ Why Not Give Everyone Access To A Healthier Lifestyle?” Discussing What Contributes To Good Health

It is a basic reality that your doctor has a great deal of responsibility in helping you keep your health; but what is not always valued is that your musculoskeletal health is often what provides the optimal function of your other systems. Unfortunately, pain related to your musculoskeletal system is handled more from a reactive response rather than proactive. If you are not in pain or don’t have a complaint it is assumed things are in order. If this idea is combined with using pain relievers and anti-inflammatories to handle what aches and pains develop over time then the right care is being delayed even more. For many types of musculoskeletal problems, pain is what prompts medical attention. Yet, often (not always) pain is a response to pressure. It is what makes the nerves complain and say, “Something is not right!” What is not commonly known, however, is pressure is in response to imbalance in the muscular and joint systems. Generally, medication to treat inflammation and pain help in calming the interference of the problem, but often fails at treating the cause of the problem. In our current medical model, our musculoskeletal system may not be appreciated for being the foundation to our overall health, but the truth is, it plays a major role in optimal health, quality of life, and longevity. In fact, correct exercise and activity enhance the health of many of your other major systems. It is commonly recognized that when a person is not able to exercise, many other systems suffer and develop problems. It is no mystery that heart and vascular health is directly related to exercise, as well as proper weight control, and it is safe to say that a sedentary lifestyle has a negative influence on all major systems in your body. For a system that has so much to do with your future quality of life, and so much to do with how the rest of your body feels, should you just use pain as your primary indicator of health? Should you settle for an insurance system that is mostly reactive to your complaints versus proactive? Full Potential believes in the importance of being proactive in your muscular health, for the health of your whole body. That’s why we offer the Full Potential Proactive Program.
