Last-minute boundary change proposal OTTAWA | An Eastern Ontario MP is float- ing an idea for a new type of combined federal-provincial riding setup. The Right Honourable Philip Néri, MP for Sarsfield-Cumberland, announced a last- minute proposal to the federal Commis- sion for Revision and Adjustment for Parlia- ments. The MP claims his proposal will help create federal and provincial unity. “What I am suggesting is we create cross- border ridings,” said Néri. “Wherever two provincial boundaries meet, the provincial
and federal ridings on either side will com- bine into trans-border ridings.” Néri plans a promotion campaign on his proposal starting April 1.
