Sunrosa Roses Tips for Producing
C OMPACT Sunrosa roses are ideal for small to medium landscape spaces and patio containers. Plants have an upright, bushy habit, but only reach a height of 15-24 inches with a spread of 12-18 inches. Sunrosa roses need less pruning and are easy to care for. ‘Sunrosa Red’ and ‘Sunrosa Yellow’ received perfect scores for foliage quality in the University of Georgia’s trials assessing disease resistance. Plants are covered with blooms that are 1.5-2 inches in diameter. Colors include Red, Soft Pink and Yellow.
General Culture Transplant plugs into a 2-gallon pots filled with well-drained soil. Water at the base of the cutting and keep the foliage dry. For best results, keep plants well-trimmed, starting about 4-6 weeks after transplant. Maintain good air circulation throughout the production area.
Watering Maintain a good watering routine but do not leave the plants in standing water. Lighting Grow Sunrosa in full sun for best results. Crop Timing From potting to finish is about 12- 16 weeks, depending on culture, growing zone and season. Temperature Optimum temperatures are 55-65˚F at night and 70-80˚F days.
