&/#3&'r#3*&'4 PROBATION FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT Diane L. Tobin, 39, of Ottawa, pled guilty on February 14, in provincial court in L’Orignal, to a charge of assault. The charge is based on OPP investigation of a domestic situation, which took place from October 18 to Novem- ber 3 in Clarence-Rockland. Tobin received 12 months probation, including an order to avoid all contact with the complainant unless he gives written consent. Tobin is also ordered to follow all counseling recommendations of her probation officer and the therapy centre where she is a client. Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) granted $506,300 to Valoris, to launch a Positive Parenting Program project. The announcement of the half million- dollar grant was made at the Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell Rockland office, on Friday, March 23. The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) sup- ports the positive development of children and youth facing challenges. The program equips adults with resources for positive parenting. The $ 506 300 grant was awarded to Valoris by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and will be spread over three years. The money will be used to increase the accessibility of the Triple P program to the people of Prescott-Russell.
