Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary’s Six Areas of Focus. By working together to respond to real community needs, clubs and districts strengthen their global partnerships. District 5810 is currently working on 9 Global Grants: 1. Water Is Life, Sanitation Is Health in Uganda 2. Puppet Theatre for AIDS Education in Kenya 3. Computer Vocational Training Lab in Mexico 4. Community Therapy Outreach for disease prevention and treatment in Botswana 5. Girls Schools Toilets in India 6. Breast Cancer Detection Center in Kosovo 7. VTT from Baylor Nursing/Dental for disease prevention and treatment in Zambia 8. Literacy in Guatemala 9. Running Water In Schools in Nicaragua This year District 5810 has awarded a total of $85,000 in 53 district grants to 39 Rotary clubs.  26 Economic and Community Development grants  21 Basic Education and Literacy grants  6 Disease Prevention and Treatment grants

Rotary celebrates 100 years of The Rotary Foundation’s great work. This is the Party of the Century you won’t want to miss. TRF Birthday Party Saturday, May 13 th 2017 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Frontiers of Flight Museum We want to celebrate with you. To help us make this the happening place on May 13 th we are asking for auction donations & sponsorships. We are encouraging every Rotary Club in our district to purchase a table of 10 for $1,250 and become at least a Bronze sponsor. Sponsorship forms and additional information are available at rotary5810.org, under events select May 13. We would like all clubs to attend to mix and mingle. This is the opportunity for fellowship with all Rotarians from all clubs in our district. There will be an open bar. It will be a night of casino gaming. Come and enjoy the smooth smoky croon of jazz singers from the 40's, 50's, and 60's and enjoy dancing to the tunes of Marc Toussaint Jazz Combo. And don’t even get me going on the food, food glorious food, mouthwatering, delicious, yummy, sweet, savory, delectable, scrumptious, etc... I’m looking forward to having dinner with 500 of my closest Rotary friends and meet some more Rotary friends. I’m going so we can celebrate everything that has been made possible because of The Rotary Foundation. Of course I’m going. It’s going to be the party of the century, with live music, great food, open bar, and casino. This will be a really cool opportunity to network. It’s going to be a blast

It’s going to be the best amazing Rotary event we’ve ever had and there is no way I’m going to miss.
