Colton Wilmes - “Biological Diversity of Fish Communities in the Salt Fork Creek, Saline County, Missouri” (session 8) The Salt Fork Creek is a third order stream that runs through Saline County, Missouri. We sampled nine sites between September - November 2022 to examine spatial trends in community diversity of fishes in the Salt Fork Creek. We documented spatial changes in community diversity between our upstream and downstream study sites. Community diversity indices are common tools used in describing stream health and water quality. Dawson Woehr - “Effects of Cholera” (session 1) Cholera is a bacterial disease spread by contact with contaminated feces. Though seemingly easy to control, cholera remains prevalent around the world, killing thousands of people every year. Areas with poor water treatment and sewage drainage are the most susceptible to infections. By raising awareness and increasing knowledge of cholera, its effects can be inhibited. This presentation details the history, transmission and progression of cholera in order to aid individuals in limiting the spread of the disease. Isaiah Yates (session 17) - see Furiati Susan Zelaya - “Makeup Line” (session 18) For this project the idea is to create a new makeup line where the teenagers to adults will feel free to use(15-55 yrs old). The plan is to launch a full kit of makeup, consisting of three lip liners, one eyeshadow palette, one blush, three liquid lipstick, two compacted highlighters etc. The shape of the product and colors will be neutral to take into consideration neutrality when it comes to genders. The feeling of the product will be something taken into serious consideration as well. The purpose is for people to feel embraced with the products and have a good idea and experience with it. One of the main goals also is for the product to be recognized globally to welcome the future of neutrality and simplicity. It would absolutely be amazing to also work with recycling products to help our environment as well.
