Over its history, Highlands Motoring Festival has donated approximately to local organizations. $750,000
That loyalty became part of the festival’s sponsor- ship structure. HMF has given BHHS real estate exclusivity among its sponsors, a decision Steve framed as a way to honor the firm’s early commit - ment. This year, when the Thursday Happy Hour sponsorship came into focus, the organizers brought the opportunity to Tricia Michaud Cox before offering it elsewhere. That is worth saying plainly. Some community sup- port happens quietly for years before most people notice. The Michaud family has often preferred the quiet version. But in this case, the history explains why the partnership feels less like a sponsorship placement and more like a relationship that has already proven itself. The same long-view thinking shows up in the festi- val’s nonprofit work.
Current beneficiaries include: • REACH of Macon County • The Literacy and Learning Center The Community Care Clinic. Then he explained the larger point: the festival encourages donations because the work is for the community, not for the organizers. The money raised is meant to move back into organizations serving real needs across Macon County. “ • Ricky put the relationship plainly: “The more money we make, the more money they get”
