expansion of its S2 platform, the packaging cloud envi- ronment that connects all Esko applications, workflows and packaging data in a single scalable ecosystem de- signed to improve collaboration, automation and speed- to-market.

Polish-based label converter Aniflex has invested in a Mark Andy Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 hybrid press, combining flexographic and UV inkjet technol- ogies within a single integrated production process. According to Maciej Wojtaszek, co-owner of Ani- flex, a manufacturer of self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging, the visual appearance of labels has not changed dramatically in recent years. Brand owners continue to prioritize consistency and strong product recognition, ensuring that packaging evolution remains familiar to consumers. Visual Appearance What has changed significantly, however, is the scale of product variation. “Within a single product category, we now see far more flavor, functional and language variants,” said Maciej Wojtaszek. “One product may exist in multiple graphic versions, with each version additionally produced in several lan- guage adaptations. This directly increases the num- ber of SKUs and adds complexity throughout the pro- duction process.”

These include: SmartSelect in ArtPro+ — enabling fast, accurate and safe interactive editing ReArt — helping deskill complex prepress tasks includ- ing object replacement, trapping and marks creation Comply — providing AI-assisted artwork reviews inside WebCenter and WebCenter Go to verify approved copy, formatting, barcode data and required symbols “Built specifically for the realities of packaging produc- tion, the Packaging Hub helps both brands and packag- ing suppliers search, reuse and manage packaging assets with greater speed, confidence and control while provid- ing earlier visibility into change impact, compliance, feasi- bility, cost and delivery implications,” said Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing. Esko also used the opening day of Esko World to for- mally announce the commercial availability of the new XPS Spark 4835, a purpose-built digital LED plate expo- sure system developed for label converters, tradeshops and flexible packaging producers. The XPS Spark report- edly replaces traditional UV tube bank exposure systems with next-generation LED exposure technology.

“We see technology investments as a natural step in building a stable, scalable and future-ready orga- nization,” says Maciej Wojtaszek. “New solutions and continuous expansion of our production capabilities are direct responses to market expectations. Our ob- jectives are greater process control, operational stabil- ity, and predictable quality.” The expansion of Aniflex’s production platform is also helping the company scale more efficiently. The new Mark Andy hybrid press reportedly allows for fast- er job changeovers, higher productivity, and simulta- neous execution of multiple projects.
